Liverpool have secured Federico Chiesa from Juve in a bargain signing , paying a fraction of his original valuation to strengthen their squad with a talented winger.
By signing Federico Chiesa from Juventus for an astonishingly low price of about £12 million including bonuses Liverpool is about to make their second summer acquisition.
With Chiesa’s incredible performance in the Euros Liverpool was willing to offer £84 million in 2021 however this transfer represents a dramatic drop in that amount.
Juventus vehemently turned down Liverpool’s then-record bid announcing that the Italian winger was not for sale.
After a few years and an ACL injury, the Merseyside club has now successfully negotiated a great deal.

Chiesa decided to join Liverpool after talks with the Catalan giants broke down despite his initial preference to move to Barcelona.
Although the player’s place in the starting lineup is still up in the air because of the depth of attacking players on the team this move is still viewed as a major coup for Liverpool.
Since Luis Díaz Cody Gakpo and other players are vying for spots on the left and Mohamed Salah is a mainstay on the right wing Chiesa’s arrival begs the question of where he fits in Liverpool’s current lineup.
But Chiesa would probably have encountered comparable opposition even if he had signed with Barcelona.
Chiesa is still regarded as a gifted player with the ability to flourish under Arne Slot’s direction despite doubts regarding his play after the ACL.
As the team looks to bolster their roster for the upcoming Premier League season Liverpool supporters will be hoping that he can return to his pre-injury form and have a big impact.
Liverpool’s intention to keep assembling a team that can contend on several fronts is indicated by this addition which also adds depth to the squad.
