Liverpool are reportedly heading towards their next target after sealing Hugo Ekitike for over €90m from the German side.
The PL Champions are not looking to stop this season, as they already signed Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. They nearly paid £145m for the duo, where Wirtz single-handedly cost around £116m.
Arne Slot also successfully brought in another fullback, as Milos Kerkez was unveiled by the club last month.
After all these three major signings, Slot didn’t hold back, and the Merseyside club reportedly sealed the deal to sign the French forward Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt, with Darwin Nunez set to leave the club this summer. Meanwhile, the Reds are now preparing for their next signing, as reports suggest.

Liverpool set their next transfer target
After Ibrahima Konate’s links to Real Madrid, Arne Slot might want to bring in a defender who could potentially replace him. Konate reportedly rejected Liverpool’s new contract offers, and reports suggest he could leave on a free transfer after his current contract expires in 2026.
The PL Champions previously identified Marc Guehi as their top target for that centre-back role. As Ben Jacobs suggested, Liverpool might want to add a centre-back between now and the end of the summer transfer window, and the Crystal Palace defender Guehi might be the right choice.
According to reports from Matt Law, Liverpool remain favourites for the 24-year-old. However, another English side, Tottenham, are also interested in Guehi.
Earlier last month, reports emerged that there is a clear valuation gap between Liverpool and Crystal Palace. That could be the reason the talks between the clubs are possibly on hold as of now.
