Liverpool Football Club are maintaining their previous stance as regards making signings in the winter transfer market.
It remains a quiet transfer window for Liverpool, with no new signings so far while the only departures from the club have been young players seeking to get regular playing time.
Reds’ fans have been left frustrated as their club has remained inactive in the ongoing transfer market, while other rivals like Manchester City have completed three transfer signings this month.
With there currently being no clarity on the futures of key players at the club like Mohamed Salah, captain Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contracts are due to expire at the end of the season.
It is uncertain which of the lot will stay at the club and which of them will move on at the expiration of their contracts.

Liverpool stance on making signings in the transfer market
According to The Athletic‘s James Pearce,
”Liverpool are ready and waiting to react if there is a deal to be done that makes sense for the long-term.”
The Merseysiders’ stance during the January transfer window has been that they are happy with the current options in Arne Slot’s squad, but that they are ready to act and make signings if there are options available that align with their plans and objectives for the future.
Manager Arne Slot is confident that the Premier League table-toppers have enough depth to maintain their performances, with Saturday’s comfortable victory over Ipswich Town showcasing the strong options available on the bench.
The Reds’ injury issues are also very limited with Curtis Jones who went off midweek in the Champions League, joining striker Diogo Jota and defender Joe Gomez on the injury list, and they are all not expected to be out of action for a long period.
The club will surely have a mountainous task on their hands trying to replace any of Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold should they depart in the summer.
The left-back position is also one where the Reds will be looking to strengthen, as it has been a major area of concern this season.
