Luis Diaz is making headlines again as new reports emerge about his future at Liverpool.

The Colombian striker is one of the hottest topics this summer, with many clubs identifying him as a key target.

Barcelona have been monitoring Diaz for a long time. German manager Hansi Flick and director Deco both admire the Colombian. Flick even praised him publicly in a press conference a few months ago.

However, the Spanish champions may not push hard for Diaz due to ongoing financial issues at the club over the past few years.

Saudi club Al Nassr have also made Diaz their primary target this summer after Cristiano Ronaldo’s cryptic post created doubts about his future in Riyadh.

Al Nassr are reportedly ready to offer over €85 million for Luis Diaz, having received central funding to pursue the forward.

Liverpool’s decision on Luis Diaz

According to reports from The Times, Liverpool are not looking to sell Luis Diaz despite speculation from Saudi Arabia.

Earlier reports also suggested that the Premier League champions might prepare a new contract for the Colombian soon.

Luis Diaz was in top form last season, playing a vital role in Liverpool’s 2024/25 Premier League title win under Arne Slot.

The Colombian scored 17 goals in 50 matches across all competitions for the Reds last season.

Slot might still consider Diaz an important part of his project. The Dutch mastermind used him as both a forward and a left winger. Diaz’s versatility might be exactly what Slot needs going into the new season.

Although the transfer window hasn’t opened yet, the Colombian’s future at Liverpool could still change as the summer unfolds. He still has time to decide his future.
