Liverpool are on the verge of winning the Premier League with Arne Slot’s amazing lineup in his first season.

The Reds sit 11 points clear at the top of the table, with just one loss so far. However, Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool need to strengthen three key positions in the summer.

Carragher stated after their 2-0 win over Manchester City, “Liverpool could bring in a left-back, a forward, and an attacking midfielder.”

Carragher believes these signings should immediately challenge for first-team spots. Liverpool have not spent heavily in recent years, which could mean they have funds to invest.

Alisson will remain Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper, though Giorgi Mamardashvili has been signed as a long-term replacement.

Liverpool lineup that might turn them invincible

According to Jamie Carragher ( via Mirror ), the Reds’ defense is solid with Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. Van Dijk’s contract expires soon, and his future is uncertain. If he stays, he will continue to partner with Konate in defense.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s future is also up in the air. Real Madrid are reportedly interested in the right-back. If he stays, he will remain ahead of Conor Bradley in the right-back position.

Carragher has called for a new left-back due to Andy Robertson’s struggles this season. Liverpool have been linked with Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. At just 21 years old, Kerkez could be a solid long-term replacement for Robertson.

In midfield, Carragher has praised Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister’s partnership. However, he believes Liverpool should target West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta for the attacking midfielder role.

Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai are also options, but Carragher prefers Szoboszlai in a deeper role.

Strengthening these three positions will improve Liverpool’s squad and help them maintain their dominance next season.
