Rodrygo Transfer Update

Liverpool might be in for a treat with transfer business as their chances to sign potential Luis Diaz replacement have just increased.

As Bayern Munich edge closer towards securing the deal for Merseyside winger Diaz, LFC have to look for potential players who can replace the Colombian international.

Although the Bavarians’ initial offer of €52 million has been rejected, the Anfield giants are open to entertaining bids in the region of €70–80 million, depending on the buyer (Europe or Saudi Arabia).

Even though Cody Gakpo remains the immediate successor to the Reds’ left winger, and the recent addition Florian Wirtz is also a viable option at left wing, Arne Slot & Co. would definitely like to stack the attacking ranks.

And these latest updates from Spain have increased the Premier League champions’ possibility of signing a long-time target.

Real Madrid outcast long-term Liverpool target

The Spanish giants shamefully lost 4-0 against PSG in the semifinal of the ongoing Club World Cup.

This defeat exposed many challenges and drawbacks of Xabi Alonso’s new side, as they lacked cohesiveness as a team due to the egos of big names.

Amid this major challenge, according to multiple Spanish sources, Los Blancos have decided to leave long-time Reds target Rodrygo.

The Brazil international has been dissatisfied with his recent lack of playtime, as he has seen Madrid start their last five games from the bench.

Writing on this issue, Marca reported, “With Rodrygo, they’re already clear about it and are looking for a new destination.”

And as per Spanish media outlet A Bola, along with the Madrid No. 11, Dani Ceballos and Brahim Diaz are next in the firing line.

They wrote, “The tense atmosphere within the team is evident in the fact that Rodrygo, who had been unhappy recently with Carlo Ancelotti, hasn’t been getting the minutes he desires. The Brazilian, who only played in the first group stage game against Al Hilal (1-1), reportedly even had an argument with the coach, after which he practically stopped playing.”

Arsenal are in the mix to sign the talented Brazilian winger. Real Madrid want a fee around €100 million; however, they might be willing to go as low as €80 million.

Whatever may happen, the prospect looks quite alluring and currently, Liverpool should keep a close watch on the Rodrygo situation.
