Reports suggest that Liverpool are interested in signing 22-year-old French left-back Adrien Truffert from Rennes. But there are a number clubs after Frenchmen’s signature.
Liverpool are looking for a back-up and a long-term replacement for an ageing Andy Robertson. Truffert was part of the French Olympic squad that won second place.

Truffert came through the ranks at Rennes and is now a regular first team player. Rennes have already rejected approaches from several clubs. Truffert already has 156 appearances for the first team at 22 years of age. PSG and Marseille were also exploring to sign Truffert.
Not only Liverpool, but Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest are all showing an interest in the defender. There has been no formal approach as of now.
According to L’ÉQUIPE:
“Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert.”
At the moment there is no suggestion Liverpool will sign a left-back this window. Paul Joyce also confirmed that the reds will not make a signing at left-back this summer. Liverpool are getting linked to left-backs often Aït-Nouri, Adrien Truffert, Soler. This might be to find a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.
Andy Robertson’s form is dipping and the club will have to find solutions for him soon. Liverpool also have Kostas Tsimikas, but his future is uncertain.
