Liverpool have reportedly shown interest in signing Newcastle’s striker, Alexander Isak, as confirmed by renowned journalist, David Ornstein.

While the Reds are exploring various options to bolster their attacking lineup, Isak is the only player Ornstein has heard mentioned in connection with Liverpool so far. The Swedish striker has impressed this season with his performances in the Premier League.

The journalist confirmed that Liverpool is monitoring potential signings, but he specifically pointed to Isak as a key target. However, Ornstein also noted that Newcastle United has no intentions of selling the 24-year-old striker anytime soon.

“Liverpool will obviously have multiple options on their radar, but the only name I’ve personally heard of so far is Alexander Isak. Newcastle have no intentions of selling him.”

Wrote Ornstein.

This statement has further fueled speculation about Isak’s future, though it appears unlikely that a transfer will happen in the immediate future.

An impressive season for the Liverpool target

Alexander Isak has been in stellar form for Newcastle United this season, showcasing his skills as one of the Premier League’s most exciting forwards. The Swedish international has brought a combination of pace, power, and clinical finishing to the Magpies’ attack.

His ability to score goals and link up play has been instrumental in Newcastle’s strong performances under manager Eddie Howe. Isak’s recent form, including key goals in important matches, has earned him recognition as one of the best attacking talents in England.

Despite Liverpool’s interest, Newcastle appears determined to keep hold of their prized forward. Isak’s importance to the team has only grown this season, and his presence up front continues to be a key part of the club’s ambitions.

For now, it seems Isak’s future remains firmly with the Magpies, though Liverpool will likely continue to monitor his situation.
