Liverpool In ‘Concrete Talks’ For Player Exit Despite Initial Offer Rejected

Liverpool are in ‘concrete talks’ over loan deal for young Reds midfielder Tyler Morton with German giants RB Leipzig.

Amid all the international action in the footballing world, the Merseysiders are getting many important tasks done by staying away from the spotlight.

The club recently completed a crucial partnership with Japan Airlines that saw the award-winning airline become the Reds’ official flight partner.

Apart from that several transfer rumours have surfaced up prior to the pre-season games. However, a recent transfer update might interest the Kopites to know more about it.

Tyler Morton: Liverpool To Loan Midfielder To RB Leipzig?

Updating via his X handle, journalist Florian Plettenberg conveyed that RB Leipzig have sustained their previous interest in signing Morton.

Although ‘concrete talks’ took place between the English giants and the German giants, the two parties could not come to an agreement regarding the deal.

That is because Leipzig are pushing for a loan deal with the option to buy the young midfielder but LFC are not satisfied with the loan structure.

Although the Reds are ready to loan the 21-year-old out for the next season, they are not ready right now to let go of the player.

The concern is also due to the previous loan case of Fabio Carvalho where he did not get much opportunity at the German side and had to move to Hull City halfway into his season-long loan term.

If Morton does not get ample opportunity to develop his game at Leipzig, there is no point in moving to Germany.

His loan spell at Hull in the 2023-24 season has been quite impressive and Arne Slot could use him if Liverpool are unable to sign a new No. 6 this summer.
