Liverpool are now set to hijack Arsenal’s potential transfer target, even though the player had reportedly agreed on personal terms with the Gunners earlier.

Florian Wirtz alone cost nearly £116m, with the club paying a record transfer fee to bring him to Anfield. Slot’s latest signing, Hugo Ekitike, also cost around £69m plus add-ons.
Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong are already getting ready for the upcoming season, as both new full-backs are set to wear the red jersey.
The Premier League champions are also looking to bring in Alexander Isak, as per multiple sources. Not only that, Slot might want to add at least one more defender this summer after noticing some issues in the backline following the loss against AC Milan in Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, the Reds might now be preparing for another surprise move to strengthen the squad even further.

Liverpool hijack Arsenal’s transfer target
Liverpool are eyeing Arsenal’s transfer target, Will Wright, to bring him in from Salford City. The 17-year-old striker was previously targeted by Mikel Arteta’s side, and the player reportedly had a verbal agreement with the Gunners.
But the Reds have now entered the race to hijack the deal. According to DaveOCKOP, Salford City have accepted Liverpool’s bid for the young striker. The Merseyside club are now proceeding with the formal steps to seal the deal as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano reported that the player has completed the second part of his medical as a new Liverpool player. The contract will run until 2028.
