According to reports, Liverpool are interested in a summer move for a world-class player who can perform fluidly in two positions on the pitch.
Joshua Kimmich’s current contract at Bayern Munich expires at the end of the season, and talks to sign a new contract between the German club and Kimmich look to be slow-paced.
According to reports, Bayern do not want to lose Kimmich on a free transfer in the summer. The Bavarians are keen on tying the player down to new terms, but the 30-year-old does not feel highly valued for the plans of the club.
Teamtalk reports that Liverpool are considering making a move for Joshua Kimmich. The player who is versatile and can play effectively at defensive midfield or as a right back is considered for a move to Anfield in the summer.
It is also claimed that Liverpool have enquired about Kimmich and been in touch with the player, who has mainly been deployed as a defensive midfielder for the Bavarian giants this campaign.

The Reds are also looking to create cover for Ryan Gravenberch in the No. 6 role as well as bringing in a possible replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold should the Englishman leave to join Real Madrid in the summer.
Arnold’s contract situation at Anfield runs is similar to that of Kimmich at Bayern as the Reds appear to have failed in all attempts to tie the Englishman to a new contract beyond June 2025.
It also appears that other top clubs are monitoring the situation of Kimmich at Bayern and will be keen on making a swoop for the German international.
The player has been with the club from Munich for about 10 years now, winning the Bundesliga 8 times as well as the UEFA Champions League in 2020.
Whether Liverpool will decide to bring in Kimmich in the summer remains unclear but if they do, they will be making a very good signing and will be covering up vacancies as the German can operate in two key areas on the pitch.
