Liverpool manager Arne Slot

Liverpool’s summer reshuffle under Arne Slot shows no signs of slowing, with left-back Owen Beck now edging toward the exit.

Having already sanctioned several first-team departures, including Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid and Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford, Liverpool are working on further outgoings to reshape the squad.

Beck, 22, is the next name on the list, with Rangers deep in negotiations to bring the Welsh international to Ibrox on a permanent basis.

Beck’s potential exit forms part of a wider strategy by Arne Slot to reshape Liverpool’s squad with a sharper focus on youth development, financial balance and positional depth.

As the club prepares for a demanding season across multiple competitions, this ensures that every departure aligns with their long-term vision while opening opportunities for incoming reinforcements.

Talks ongoing as Liverpool and Rangers differ on valuation

Liverpool are holding out for a fee in the region of £10 million, while Rangers are aiming for closer to £7 million (via reports by DaveOckop).

While both clubs remain apart in their valuations, discussions are said to be progressing steadily.

Beck’s current deal runs until 2026, but there’s a sense that the player is open to moving permanently in search of regular first-team football.

While Liverpool would prefer a loan move after extending his contract, Rangers are pushing for a full transfer.

Wrexham have also expressed interest, though the Welsh club would need to sell before they could enter the race.

After a strong loan season at Blackburn Rovers, where he made 24 league appearances and won the club’s Young Player of the Season, Beck appears ready for a permanent step forward in his career.
