Despite of their dominating 3-0 win against Man Utd, LFC has had a disappointing ending in their match against Nottingham. Now, Arne Slot has issued a clear warning against one of the senior Liverpool stars, Dominik Szoboszlai.
The LFC star has been a part of the midfield since the start of the 2023/24 season. Szoboszlai has always been a dependable option in the midfield of Liverpool till now.
Arne Slot wants Dominik Szoboszlai to score more goals
As the 2024-25 Premier League season is underway, the Reds are trying their best to reach the best position for winning the trophy. The Dutchman is confident of the current Liverpool lineup, but he still thinks there is room for improvement.
In a recent interview, the new Anfield boss Arne Slot expressed his opinions on Dominik Szoboszlai. The Hungarian midfielder has been a part of the 4-3-3 attacking formation under Jurgen Klopp.
“He has been important for us and his pressing has been outstanding. Something we have to work on is making him even more involved in scoring goals.”
According to Arne Slot, Dominik Szoboszlai is a hard-working star in the midfield. Szoboszlai operates differently under the Dutchman.
“He scored three last season but for an attacking midfielder at Liverpool, his numbers need to go up. I am confident with the quality he has and the players around him he will score more goals as well.”
The Dutchman prefers two pivots of deeper midfielders with an attacking spearhead in their front. Dominik Szoboszlai is in the role of that attacker, and Arne Slot wants his goal involvement numbers to go up.
It is quite evident since Harvey Elliott is down with a serious injury. Meanwhile, the Hungarian did work on that and got a goal against AC Milan as Liverpool secured their first UCL win under Arne Slot.
