Liverpool have set their sights on Alexander Isak ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Newcastle United striker is in high demand. Arsenal and other top European clubs are also interested in signing the Swedish international.
Isak has been outstanding for Newcastle, proving himself as one of the best strikers in the world. His pace, technical ability, and finishing make him a top target. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly sees him as a perfect fit for his system.
However, Liverpool could also make a strong push for his signature. Reports suggest Darwin Nunez may leave Anfield in the summer. Arne Slot wants a clinical striker, and Isak could be a significant upgrade.

Liverpool have clear approach corresponding to Isak
As per TBR, David Ornstein recently provided an update on Liverpool’s stance regarding Isak. He confirmed their interest but emphasized they will only pursue him if he is genuinely available. The club has no intention of chasing an unrealistic transfer.
“Liverpool admire Isak, but they will only move if Newcastle make him available,” Ornstein said. “Newcastle have no plans to sell, but every player has a price.”
Newcastle reportedly value Isak at around £150 million. They hold the power in negotiations since he has more than three years left on his contract. The Magpies also have no financial need to sell him.
Despite this, speculation around Isak’s future continues to grow.
Journalist Steve Kay claims Liverpool have a better chance than Arsenal of signing him. Club legend Jamie Carragher also believes Liverpool would be his preferred destination.
If Newcastle decide to sell, a bidding war between Liverpool and Arsenal could unfold. Isak’s decision will be one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window.
