Liverpool’s summer transfer spree may not be over just yet. After cashing in on Luis Diaz, the Reds have now turned their full attention to Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak — and they’re reportedly ready to spend big once again.
Arne Slot’s side have already splashed serious cash on Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, and two full-backs. But one big attacking name is still on the wish list.
And despite already landing Ekitike, Isak remains Liverpool’s top target. That alone raises eyebrows — and pulses — on both Merseyside and Tyneside.
Isak, who still has three years left on his contract, is currently training alone in Spain. He’s preparing for a potential move while Newcastle searches for his replacement.
The Swedish international is reportedly in San Sebastian, working out at his former club Real Sociedad’s facilities — just waiting for the green light.

How much Liverpool might need to pay for Alexander Isak?
Sources (via DaveOCKOP) suggest Liverpool are willing to pay £120 million plus add-ons to bring Isak to Anfield.
That would make the striker one of the most expensive signings in Premier League history. The add-ons, it’s understood, will be tied to both team success and individual performance — think goals, trophies, and possibly golden boots.
According to TalkSport, journalist Craig Hope confirmed that Isak’s camp has informed Newcastle of the player’s wish to move. “Yes, they have communicated to Newcastle’s hierarchy the desire to move on,” said Hope.
This could speed things up. But there’s a twist — Newcastle want RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko as a replacement, and Manchester United are also keen on the Slovenian. If United win that race, Newcastle may dig in and play hardball.
Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with Isak already, so the ball’s now firmly in Newcastle’s court. If a formal bid lands soon, the move could progress quickly.
