It looks like Luis Diaz’s time at Liverpool may soon be coming to an end. Bayern Munich have reportedly returned with a second offer for the winger, and this time, Liverpool appear more open to doing business.
After their first bid was rejected, the German champions have stayed in contact with the Reds. Talks between the two clubs have continued throughout the week.
Now, Bayern are understood to be preparing an improved offer worth over €70 million, with an additional €10 million in add-ons.
That might just be enough to bring Diaz’s Anfield journey to a close. The Colombian international has made it clear that he’s ready for a new challenge — and Bayern is his preferred destination.
The 28-year-old had his best season yet in a Liverpool shirt, scoring 13 Premier League goals.
But with just two years left on his contract and no new deal on the table, the clock is ticking. The Reds could risk losing value if they wait too long.

Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich: Contract details
According to multiple reports in Germany, Diaz is ready to sign a long-term deal with Bayern Munich.
The proposed contract would run until at least 2029. That would also bring a pay bump, as Diaz currently earns around £140,000 per week at Liverpool — well below the club’s top earners.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg shared on X:
“FC Bayern have submitted their new offer to Liverpool for Luis Diaz worth more than €67.5 million. Talks between the clubs are ongoing. As reported, Díaz wants to join Bayern and is waiting for an agreement between the clubs. He can sign a contract running at least until 2029. The deal could still fall through.”
Bayern may also include a sell-on clause, especially if there’s a future move to Saudi Arabia in the cards. For now, though, all focus is on closing this deal — and it’s moving fast.
