A lot of drama is going on amidst the excitement about the 2024-25 Premier League under Arne Slot. As Liverpool locks onto Giorgi Mamardashvili, Valencia have made a decision.

The goalkeeper’s transfer has been up there in Liverpool’s radar for signing in using the summer window. However, for Slot and Edwards, things are not that easy as it seems.

Valencia issue strict declaration for Giorgi Mamardashvili

Although Liverpool is moving forward with their goal to sign a world class Georgian Goalkeeper, there are a few roadblocks ahead. Despite some valiant efforts, LFC fans are slightly disappointed with this news.

Previously, we had news that LFC reached out for Giorgi Mamardashvili, but Valencia rejected their bids.

This time, the club has strictly posted a notice regarding their goalkeeper’s release clause. Unless the Merseyside club reaches close to that valuation, things will not move towards them.

In the 2024 UEFA Euro, Mamardashvili put up a great performance throughout the tournament. His last La Liga session was impressive, which makes Valencia place a higher bet on Giorgi Mamardashvili. If his entourage fails to assure the €40 million tag, the player will stay in his club.

This has made LFC and their involvement with the transfer target much harder. Moreover, on Friday, Rubén Baraja addressed this matter. In the press conference, he made it quite clear that Valencia wants Giorgi Mamardashvili to stay.

“It’s very simple. He’s our player, and as long as there is no other different situation, I’m not going to evaluate anything. He’s here, he’s ready to participate. We can’t talk about situations that haven’t happened yet.”
