Ian Wright has suggested that Alexander Isak could favour a move to Premier League leaders Liverpool in the summer, instead of linking up with his former club Arsenal FC, if it boils down to a race between the two for his signature.
The Newcastle United forward appears to be in the middle of a transfer war between the two Premier League giants.
According to the standings, the current two best teams in the English top flight have identified Isak as a potential upgrade for the central striker position at their respective clubs.
Althoughit remains inconclusive which side the Swedish attacker should join at the end of the season, Ian Wright has given his opinion on where he believes Isak will end up plying his trade next campaign.

According to AnythingLFC, Ian Wright speaking on the forward,
“I’d like to think Mikel Arteta could convince him but look at Liverpool and Arne Slot. I would hate it if it was between Arsenal and Liverpool because he would probably go for Liverpool with the way it’s gone for Arne Slot.”
The Arsenal legendary striker has explained that he believes Liverpool may be in a better position to secure the services of the Magpies striker.
Wright says the chance of being the centre forward for the Reds in the new Arne Slot era, which is one of the manager’s high intensity and possession based style of football, could be a hard opportunity to pass by.
As seen with Liverpool many times this term, their attacking setup is bound to change. With Darwin Nunez having a difficult time putting up consistent performances, plus more glaring misses than goals.
This coupled with Diogo Jota’s ever-present injury challenges bring a huge void in the frontline of the Merseyside based team.
Alexander Isak who has scores 19 times in the PL this season, alongside providing 5 assists provides a new dynamic for those at Anfield.
His technical skills on the ball, great positioning and movement, as well as his sublime goal scoring ability make him a viable option.
