Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is set to attend the opening day of the 2024 Paralympics to support long-time friend Wojtek Czyz.
Klopp left Liverpool this summer after 9 long years in the Premier League with the club. The 57-year-old had revealed he will not be managing any team for the next year, he will only return to management after his break.

Klopp will be attending Thursday’s lunchtime badminton session to support his long-time friend Wojtek Czyz.
Wojtek Czyz, a former German citizen is a four-time Paralympics athletics champion, but now he competes for New Zealand in Badminton. He switched international allegiances after becoming stuck in New Zealand during the coronavirus pandemic.
Wojtek Czyz had his left leg amputated after breaking his knee in a collision with a goalkeeper in 2001. Wojtek Czyz’s friendship with Klopp dates back more than 20 years. Czyz met Klopp at a charity match during his rehabilitation in 2002.
