Liverpool forward Fabio Carvalho says he had conversations with Arne Slot about his best positions on the pitch.
The 21 y/o was tried in a few different positions in matches against Preston North End and Real Betis.
Fabio Carvalho On His Best Position On The Pitch
Fabio Carvalho speaking to the reporters said:
“We spoke about it and [Slot] told me to try and settle on the wing but obviously I know where I play best and I feel that is as a No. 10.
We’ve had a few conversations which I’m not going to go into detail about, but he wants me to get my head down and work hard and see where that goes.
I’m just going to do what he wants me to do and just work as hard as I can for him. He’s giving me good instructions and motivating me a lot in training and giving me that confidence.
Yeah [I want to make an impact], that’s what it is all about. Not just for me but for everyone involved. There’s good chances for the young players as well, for myself as well. It’s a good chance for everyone to put their foot down and stamp their mark.”
Fabio Carvalho was recalled from his loan at RB Leipzig last season due to less playing time. He then joined Hull City on loan for the rest of the season and had a great loan spell.
During his Fulham days he played as a No. 10, Carvalho believes that is his best position on the pitch as well.
We don’t know what Slot’s plan is for Fabio, but whatever he decides Fabio has stated he will ‘work as hard as he can for him.’
