Darwin Nunez sends a message to Luis Diaz as the Colombian has just left Liverpool to join Bayern Munich this summer.
The German side paid €75m to the Merseyside club to bring Diaz to the Allianz Arena. The 28-year-old signed a four-year deal with Bayern on Wednesday.
After getting announced by the German club, the Colombian also shared his message on Instagram saying: “Three years and a half that I’ll treasure forever. I arrived with all the dreams in the world, and I am leaving proud of everything we achieved together.”
He also added: “I have met incredible people, fabulous colleagues, coaches who helped me a lot, and extraordinary fans. Liverpool is, indeed, a special team, and I will keep everyone in my heart. The cycle ends here, and it is so gratifying to look back and realize how happy we were.”
Diaz further added: “Not only because of the trophies we won, but for the union and friendship that made it all possible. There were ups and downs, as there always are, but there was always truth. As it should be in a family. It’s good to be leaving with the feeling of a duty fulfilled, and, most of all, to be leaving a champion. It would have been the perfect goodbye if we hadn’t lost one of ours in such a tragic way.”
At the end, he said: “As I said, and I repeat, I carry everyone with me in my heart, but one of them in particular: Diogo. I will never forget him. We will never forget him. Thank you for everything YNWA.”

What message does Darwin Nunez send to Luis Diaz?
The Uruguayan forward posted an Instagram story where he said: “Bro, I wish you the best in this new phase. I have no doubt you’ll keep crushing it! I’m going to miss you and love you so much.”
Darwin Nunez is also reportedly expected to leave the club this summer. Serie A side Napoli were keen on him, but Liverpool’s asking price might have made them back off, as per many sources.
Nunez is now attracting interest from Saudi sides too. Let’s see what happens, as he might still have to decide on his future destination.
