Both Aston Villa and Liverpool shared points in their last Premier League match, which ended 2-2.
Both teams tried their best to win but failed to do so. However, one aspect of that match became a talking point: Alex Diasi’s challenge on Alexis Mac Allister.
After the match, this challenge by the Aston Villa man on the Liverpool midfielder became a hot topic for allfootball fans.
Alex Diasi could be sent off in the match after 23 minutes because of his challenge on Alexis Mac Allister. That could definitely give the Reds a chance to win the match.
However, that didn’t happen for the on-loan Chelsea man. Match referee Craig Pawson gave him a yellow card after his foul on Mac Allister.
This incident became a talking point after the match. Some felt that Pawson should show Red Card to Alex Diasi because of his challenge to the Liverpool midfielder.

Ex-PGMOL chief believes that Alex Diasi should be sent off against Liverpool
Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett believes Pawson was far too ‘lenient.’ According to the news published by Football Insider, he said,
“I really don’t get it. If you strike or attempt to strike an opponent, as Disasi did against Mac Allister, then that is a red card offense. There was clearly force, Mac Allister went to the ground pretty quickly, so where was VAR? Because Craig Pawson, I’m sorry, you got that decision wrong.”
Liverpool drew twice in their last three Premier League matches. The Reds are at the top of the table right now. However, that gap is very close now.
The Alex Diasi red card could change the result of the game, no doubt about it. All the Liverpool fans are furious about Craig Pawson’s reaction to Alex Diasi’s challenge on Mac Allister.
