Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher has laid claims that manager Arne Slot does not trust 3 of the players in his current squad. Carragher raised the concerns recently when speaking about his old club.
Slot has improved and developed some of the players he picked up from predecessor, Jurgen Klopp since his arrival at Anfield in the summer from Feyenoord.
This is mostly because the first two transfer windows under the Dutchman have been largely quiet for the Merseyside club. Slot has placed a lot of faith in his team and has not rotated his side much this season.
Carragher made his claims, noting that Slot has refused to put faith in some members of his squad who have seen very little game time for the Reds.

Carragher claims Slot has little faith in 3 players
As per Givemesport, Carragher, while writing in his column for the Telegraph, stated that Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliot, and Federico Chiesa are the players that Slot has very little faith in.
According to the former defender, “The Liverpool manager has tended to favour the same starters from a preferred pool of 14 or 15 players. He does not seem to trust back-up options such as Harvey Elliott or Wataru Endo unless there is no option.”
Carragher also believes the lack of faith in these players may end up harming Slot if his team runs out of juice in the most important parts of the season.
He made his point by pointing out that Slot would have to field these players if any of his first team members picked up injuries and knocks.
The only signing from last summer, Italian winger Federico Chiesa has barely seen any game time since his return to fitness at the turn of the year. Carragher believes this is a result of Slot not viewing Chiesa as a game-changing option.
The Italian has only made 10 appearances in all competitions since joining from Juventus last summer. Since his return, the forward has sparingly been used, even from the bench, with other options picked to come on severally instead.
Liverpool fans and lovers will hope that Slot’s choice to make use of the same group of players does not come back to bite the Liverpool manager and his side’s chances of forging ahead in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League this term.
