Ben Doak has stood out in Liverpool’s early pre-season, showing sharpness in training and a lively second-half performance during the Reds’ 3-1 friendly win at Preston.

But despite the 19-year-old winger’s promise, Liverpool are prepared to cash in.

According to the Express, the club would be tempted by offers in the region of £25 million, with Doak drawing serious interest from across the Premier League and beyond.

Nottingham Forest have stepped up as frontrunners, viewing Doak as a potential replacement for Anthony Elanga following his £55 million move to Newcastle.

Multiple clubs tracking Doak as Liverpool weigh up next steps

Forest aren’t the only ones circling.

Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Brentford, PSV Eindhoven and teams in Spain have all registered interest, while even Everton have surprisingly been linked.

The player himself is said to be open to leaving, recognising that his path to first-team football at Anfield is blocked.

With Mohamed Salah signing a two-year extension and new arrival Jeremie Frimpong offering further cover down the right, Doak’s chances of breaking through under Arne Slot appear slim.

Given Doak’s potential and age, some might argue £25 million is a modest valuation.

Liverpool, however, could leverage the level of interest to spark a bidding war while remaining mindful of the young Scot’s development path.

As Doak joins the squad for the upcoming Asia tour, clubs are expected to keep a close watch on any signs that Liverpool are ready to move from interest to negotiations.
