Liverpool manager Arne Slot has opened up about his approach during the international break and shared a glimpse into how the Reds are preparing for their crucial clash against Manchester United this weekend.

After three consecutive defeats, the timing of the break may not have been ideal for Liverpool, but Slot believes it offered a valuable chance for reflection — both for his players and his staff.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Arne Slot revealed how he keeps tabs on his squad while they are away on international duty.

“I don’t watch many games of the players because we have so many and many of them play at the same time, so it’s hard to see the live games,” Slot said.

“I do watch goals, assists, highlights, and these are also things we show them when we come back together — that we show to the team what every individual did for his national team.”

The Dutchman explained that while he keeps track of key moments, his main focus remains on Liverpool’s own performances and their next opponent.

“I watch more games of ourselves back or from the team we’re going to face after the break, which is now Man United.”

Arne Slot sends message to Liverpool fans ahead of Man Utd clash

The Reds’ boss knows that Sunday’s match against Manchester United carries more weight than most.

Liverpool haven’t played at Anfield since their Carabao Cup win over Southampton on September 23 — and Slot wants the fans to make their presence felt once more.

“I think our fans have been so supportive for us as long as I’m here and long before I was here,” he said. “The team has lost three times in a row — they need to be ready, but I think our fans can help us and will help us on Sunday as well.”

With Liverpool unbeaten at home this season, Slot is banking on the famous Anfield atmosphere to reignite the team’s momentum.

And with the game often dubbed “the most-watched fixture in the world,” the stage is set for a potentially defining moment in their campaign.

As Slot put it himself, this isn’t just another Premier League game — it’s one where passion, pride, and performance must all come together.
