When will Arne Slot host his first Premier League press conference?

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has finally spoken out amid growing rumors about his future at Anfield.

The Dutchman, who guided the Reds to Premier League glory last season, now finds himself under intense pressure after a shocking run of six defeats in seven games across all competitions.

The reigning champions have seen their title defense derail dramatically, slipping to seventh in the table and trailing leaders Arsenal by seven points.

For a team used to roaring success under both Klopp and now Slot, this dip has been hard to stomach — both for fans and the manager himself.

Pressure mounting, but Arne Slot stays calm

Despite the mounting scrutiny, Slot has remained composed. When asked about speculation surrounding his job, the Liverpool boss was quick to dismiss the noise.

“For me they say similar things,” Slot said. “I speak mainly to Richard and once in a while to the others (Edwards and FSG). They also see similar things as what I see. For me the conversations haven’t changed a lot. We always talk about the game and it’s always nicer to talk about the game if you have won than if you have lost.”

He added that he still feels supported by the club hierarchy: “Not only in this period but also when things go well. I’m a firm believer all the squads I had were 20-21 players that can play because if you have too many it’s already a struggle to make a squad. But then you have to keep them fit.”

“Let’s start winning again” — Slot’s focus remains on the pitch

When quizzed about his future and even potential contract talks, Slot gave a straightforward reply: “That is the last question I was expecting. I think my focus can be completely on getting Liverpool back to winning ways. That’s my first answer. The second answer is that contract talks, if they are even there, we never speak about this here. But let us first start to win again, that’s where my main focus is.”

It’s clear that Slot’s eyes are firmly on the field — not the headlines. He knows that in football, winning cures everything.

With upcoming clashes against Aston Villa, Real Madrid, and Manchester City, the next two weeks could define Liverpool’s season and perhaps Slot’s future at Anfield.

For now, the Dutchman seems unfazed. He’s ready to weather the storm — after all, as Liverpool fans know too well, “you never walk alone.”
