Similar to the farewell of Jurgen Klopp at Anfield, the incoming Liverpool head coach Arne Slot received a heartwarming and deserving send-off from Feyenoord fans and players.

It has been a week since Jurgen Klopp took charge of his final game as the Reds boss at Anfield and fans and club commemorated his farewell.

Jurgen Klopp himself revealed officially his successor’s name and even created a chant for incoming head coach Arne Slot.

The emotions were high at the Merseyside and are still fresh in the minds of the Kopites. There was a similar situation at Rotterdam as Feyenoord boss Slot also received a farewell.

While giving the farewell speech in front of the Feyenoord Stadium stands full of fans, the Dutchman stated,

“I’m afraid the boys are now thinking: ‘Oh, he’s going to talk again, so this will take 15 minutes’ but I’m going to try to keep it very short. I’m very grateful for the memories I made at this great club. For that, I really have to thank a number of people. First of all, my wife and my children Feyenoord’s staff is really great, including the management.

But I owe the most gratitude to two other parties. Those men stand in front of me, they are the players who have always given everything for your club and last but not least, from the first day I have been here, I have felt enormous support from the people I am looking at now. Thank you very much and good luck!”

Farewell Of Arne Slot: Feyenoord Fans Sing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’

Before the Dutch manager started his farewell speech, it had not been a secret that he is going to manage LFC from the 2024-25 season onwards.

The fans around the stadium had exclusively made tifos saying ‘Walk On’ and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. These slogans are associated with the Anfield giants.

Furthermore, right before Slot began his speech, fans sang ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, a song which is the fan anthem of the Reds.

This moment of respect and recognition truly portrayed how much the Dutch manager has earned De Kuip’s trust.

The club and the fans congratulated Slot on his next chapter in England and he also reciprocated the same emotions.

Both Liverpool and Feyenoord will be entering a new era after the departures of their beloved managers. Now the 2024-25 season will be revealing how much the two teams succeed in securing a great future ahead.
