A successful pre-season tour in the USA by winning all three matches against Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Room For Improvement Says Arne Slot On Liverpool Performance
Arne Slot believes the Liverpool squad can play much better than what they have showcased against Manchester United.
Arne Slot speaking to LFCTV:
“We’re really happy with the result. We scored some really nice goals but I don’t think we had enough control over the game because United were threatening more than a few times. It is a 3-0 win but the score could have been different tonight as well.
The results are what everybody is looking at but the players stayed fit and they are able to perform in the way that we want. We saw some great goals during this tour and they are working really hard not to concede.
But today we gave away a few chances and United deserved more than a 3-0 loss. It is also our quality that we do score our chances. A lot of new players will come in; seven, eight or nine maybe. Not ‘new’, but they come back from their holiday.”
Elite mentality this from Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, even though it was a successful pre-season tour he believes there is still room from improvement.
Arne Slot also revealed that the rest of the Liverpool squad will also be available once the team gets back to Merseyside. This will be a good opportunity to assess the squad as a whole and make required signings.
