Liverpool star in doubt for opening euros match

Scotland captain and Liverpool star Andy Robertson was taken off with an injury scare from Scotland’s training camp in Germany.

Scotland face the hosts Germany in the opening match of the Euro 2024 in the Allianz Arena on June 15th at 12:30 am (IST).

Will Andy Robertson feature for Scotland against Germany?

Captain Andy Robertson was taken off from training with an injury scare at the Scotland’s training camp.

Later Scotland’s assistant coach John Carver revealed in his press conference that Andy Robertson was taken off as a precaution and that he should be fine and back in training tomorrow. Robertson had an impact on his ankle and was taken off as a precaution.

Robertson had started for Scotland in both their warm-up games and played for 60 minutes in both games. As Carver revealed Robertson did feature in Scotland training the next day and looked fine.

It is highly likely that Robertson will feature against Germany since he was back in training with the team.

Scotland forward Lawrence Shankland was also taken off from training as a precaution similar to Robertson.

Host nation Germany heading into the Euros with a draw and a win against Ukraine and Greece respectively.

Germany will be looking to make a comeback after a disappointing World Cup which saw them exit the tournament in the group stage.
