Alisson and Robertson have perfectly encapsulated the impact of Arne Slot when drawing comparisons to Jurgen Klopp. Slot has embarked on a remarkable journey since succeeding Klopp at Liverpool, with players lauding the Dutchman’s transformative influence on the team’s defensive solidity.
Slot took charge of Anfield this summer. Since then he has led Liverpool to a flawless start in the Premier League, with three consecutive clean-sheet victories, and not to mention the commanding 3-0 win over Manchester United – that too at Old Trafford.
Furthermore, this string of successes has placed Liverpool alongside Manchester City at the summit of the table.

Also, Alisson was quick to point to his side’s improvement at the back. Speaking to Sunday’s victory at Old Trafford, the Brazilian said:
“You are right. I [still] love Jurgen Klopp.
“I will love him for the rest of my life, he knows that. But the determination, the quality of our manager [ Arne Slot ] and the way he works… He demands from the team.
“Everyone is working their socks off. It’s a third clean sheet in a row. It is not only that we are saving them at the back – the team is working so hard. This is the mentality that the manager wants us to have.”
More defensive solidity for Robertson
Defender Robertson could not help but notice the shift from Klopp’s all-out attack to a more disciplined defense under Slot. He added:
“We look a bit more secure defensively.
“We had a lot more control in our game today. It was 3-0 and it could have been more. You can’t argue with three great goals scored. A clean sheet is massive. To come away to your big rivals like Manchester United and keep a clean sheet is massive.
“They always say clean sheets will win you things and that’s always been the case when Manchester City have won the league and when we did. Three games without a goal conceded is really good and we want to keep that going.
“Alisson had too many shots to save last season. I think he’s been happy with the people in front of him so far. It’s about the whole unit working hard. The wingers put in an unbelievable shift and it helps the boys at the back.”
After the international break Robertson, Alisson, and the rest of their Liverpool teammates will be eager to maintain their scorching form. Thereafter, the Reds are set to host Nottingham Forest at Anfield in just under two weeks, aiming to extend their winning streak.
