Alexander Isak transfer update

The Alexander Isak to Liverpool drama has taken another twist — this time with a voice from inside the Newcastle dressing room.

And it’s not just any voice. It’s Anthony Gordon, a man who knows the Anfield pull all too well.

Just last summer, Gordon was at the center of his own transfer storm. Liverpool had shown interest, Newcastle were juggling PSR demands, and for a moment, his St. James’ Park exit felt close. Fast forward a year, and it’s Isak facing the uncertainty.

The Swedish striker has reportedly made it clear he wants to leave. Newcastle reportedly rejected a hefty Liverpool bid last week, believed to be north of £100 million.

Isak was left out of the Magpies’ pre-season tour in Asia and is now training in Spain, away from the squad.

What Anthony Gordon said about Alexander Isak to Liverpool transfer?

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Gordon opened up on how tough it is when your name is being tossed around in transfer talks.

“I understand what Alex is going through. I feel for him. He will be going through a lot. The club is going through a lot. I hope everyone gets what they want in the end.”

Gordon knows the emotional toll all too well. Last year, he thought he was on his way out.

With Euro 2024 looming and financial pressure on the club, it looked like Liverpool would get their man. In the end, Gordon stayed — but admits it wasn’t easy.

“With PSR, I thought I was going to leave at some point in the window. It didn’t happen. I had to get my head around that… I’m a human being. It’s really difficult.” Said Gordon.

While Isak trains in Spain and Liverpool weigh up another bid, one thing is clear — behind the headlines are real players with real emotions.

The game may be full of goals and glory, but the transfer window often leaves players feeling offside.
