The deadline for the winter transfer window for the English premier league clubs has ended on 3rd February. However, after two weeks of the transfer window’s closure, Liverpool’s left-back James Norris left Anfield as he joined Irish side Shelbourne FC.

Liverpool didn’t sign a single player in the January transfer window. Liverpool boss Arne Slot is very confident with the team and believes that there is no need to sign new players right now.

However, the Merseyside release some young players for loan spells. James Norris is one of them who left Liverpool to join Shelbourne FC in Ireland.

Morris was on the bench for Liverpool against Plymouth in the FA Cup match. However, Arne Slot didn’t use James Norris in that match against Plymouth.

James Norris left Liverpool to join Shelbourne FC

Before the Plymouth match, he was also part of the Liverpool team for the Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven. But again, he was not used by the Liverpool match in that match also.

So, the 21-year-old left-back was looking for a loan move that could provide him more playing time and, most importantly, a place in the first team. Previously, James Norris made 20 appearances for Tranmere Rovers during a loan spell in 2023-24.

However, the 21-year-old failed to make any goal contribution for Tranmere Rovers during his loan spell. Overall, he performed decent for them before coming back to Liverpool.

The transfer window was closed on 3rd Feb for the English Premier League. However, for the other league, there is still time left for other clubs in other leagues.

That’s why now the Irish side Shelbourne FC can sign the 21-year-old James Morris. Shelbourne FC are currently leading the Ireland Premier League right now.

So, James Norris will play as a Shelbourne FC player till the end of this November, when his loan spell will be ended.
