Liverpool are yet to table an offer for contract extension of Mohamed Salah and journalist Graeme Bailey has shared why.
The Egyptian King has been an integral part of the Merseyside setup since joining the club back in 2017.
After numerous goals and a handful of silverware, the 32-year-old has become an Anfield legend within a span of seven years.
However, since last summer, Salah’s future at LFC has looked a bit shaky after rapid interest from Saudi Pro League.
Although the hefty sum of £150m from the Middle Easterns was offered to the Reds for the talisman was rejected by his current employers, the Saudi Pro League have not cooled their interest.
Additionally, the club not yet offering any contract extension is raising concerns over his stay at the PL.

Explaining why the Egyptian international is yet to receive a contract extension offer, Bailey suggested that the parties are not sure about the tenure of the contract.
LFC have to keep in mind that the star attacker is turning 33 coming summer and his age might affect his quality, despite Salah showing no sign of falling off.
The ideal scenario would be to sign a three-year deal or two-years with an option that could be triggered via playing time or performance.
The owners FSG are also contemplating the wage situation as Salah is one of the top-earners in the PL with a reported weekly wage of £350,000. A new contract must offer upgraded wages to satisfy the Reds attacker.
Speaking after the 2-3 victory over Southampton, in which he scored the equalizer and the winning goal, when asked about his future Salah said,
“We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club. I’m probably more out than in.
You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.
I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands.”
Expressing his disappointment, the Liverpool no. 11 said,
“Of course, yeah. I’m not going to retire soon so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well.
I’m disappointed but we will see. I am very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I’m just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible.”
The fans remain hopefully watchful of the situation and will be thrilled if the Egyptian King stays for another season or two.
