Currently, Liverpool are standing tall on top of the 2024-25 Premier League season table with a promising first lineup. After staying away till now, Caoimhin Kelleher has stepped up, and he has spoken about Arne Slot.
The Liverpool star has always managed to keep a positive influence on his team on multiple occasions. We saw him taking up the role of a saviour against Bournemouth on the weekend after Becker’s threatening injury.
Caoimhin Kelleher admits the team loves Arne Slot
Last season, the No. 62 has played 26 times for the Merseyside Club, yet, he has managed to maintain his form and fitness. On Saturday, he proved himself again. The fans in Anfield were roaring after the 25-year-old made 7 spectacular saves for his team.
According to Kelleher, Liverpool players ‘love working under’ their new manager, Slot. Before this, there were instances when the Irish Goalkeeper wanted to leave Anfield while searching for regular first-team football. After Alisson Becker got down with a serious injury, this is the first time Caoimhin has got a chance to play in Liverpool’s first lineup.
Recently, Caoimhin Kelleher was talking on LFC TV about Arne Slot. He gave us an insight into the Dutchman’s influence on the team.
“We just need to keep this momentum now and keep the confidence. We all love working under the new manager and things are really coming together now so hopefully we can keep the results going, and the performances.”
This came months later after we learned that LFC had denied a £7 million + Matt Turner deal from Nottingham. Before this, Slot has also acknowledged Kelleher for his efforts. It will be interesting to see if the 25-year-old starts in the West Ham match in Carabao Cup.
“I think Caoimh has shown many times in the past few years, and even in pre-season, that’s he’s ready every time we need him.”
