Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has reacted to Jurgen Klopp deciding to become the global head of soccer for the Red Bull group.
Klopp is set to take up this new role from January 2025. The former Liverpool manager will work to developing the Red Bull football network, which includes RB Leipzig, RB Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, among others.

In Klopp’s new role he will work closely with the Sporting Directors, helping in the group’s global scouting. His other responsibilities will include mentoring key personnel and help the Red Bull group maintain it’s football philosophy, however he will not be involved in day to day management.
Jota speaking to Portuguese outlet Record:
“Klopp? He is a person for whom I have a lot of affection, it is to respect his decision. I wish him the best of luck in this new stage.” Diogo Jota on Jurgen Klopp taking up new role.
On Liverpool’s good start to the season and fixture congestion Jota said: “I think the start has been positive for me and for the club, things are going well, that’s what we try to bring to the national team.”
“The reality is that an international player ends up having more games. I think that’s the price to pay. I don’t have a very concrete opinion, I don’t really like the political side of football.”
Diogo Jota joined Liverpool from Wolves in 2021 when Jurgen Klopp was manager. Jota was a key player for Jurgen Klopp, making more than a 100 appearances under Jurgen.
