Liverpool are pushing so hard to make the contract renewal of their club captain, Virgil van Dijk.
The Reds recently completed the contract extension of another senior member of their squad, Mohamed Salah, who signed a new contract which will keep him till 2027.
Now the club is very optimistic about convincing the 33-year-old Virgil van Dijk to sign a new contract. Virgil van Dijk scored in the 89th minute this week against West Ham United in the league to beat the Hammers 2-1.
His goal contribution in the match helped the Reds to secure all three points against West Ham. Now Liverpool need two more wins in the league to secure the Premier League title.
All the Liverpool fans will be delighted with the goal by their captain. However, they are also concerned about the future of the Dutch international and whether he will stay or not.

Virgil van Dijk is not done yet, deal with it
After the match, Virgil van Dijk gave some hints about his future while answering questions about his celebration. He said,
“Everyone knows how much I love this club and let’s see what next week will look like.”
One of the senior members of the current Liverpool team, Mohamed Salah, recently signed a new contract with the club.
He also expressed his thoughts on the situation of Virgil Van Dijk’s contract and expects that the Dutch international will stay. He said,
“I am glad we managed to do that [contract] before the end of the season. Hopefully, Virgil will be next. He can do whatever he wants but I would love to play with him next season.”
Virgil Van Dijk has won multiple trophies with Liverpool, including the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and more. The 33-year-old is on his way to winning another Premier League title with the Reds.
