Video: Liverpool star’s furious moment with referee spotted in Forest defeat
Nobody ever expected things to go this way but the Reds suffered a defeat in their last match against Nottingham. Shortly after the disappointing result, Alexander-Arnold and Michael Oliver engaged in verbal exchanges.
Things got pretty heated up just after the match referee blew the final whistle for the day. Although we were not sure about what Trent and Oliver were saying, it was clear that they were arguing over something.
Trent Alexander-Arnold shows frustration on Michael Oliver
The 2024-25 Premier League season was really going well for Liverpool under Arne Slot. LFC stayed unbeaten for continuous 3 matches with a dominant win over Manchester United, their arch-rivals.
However, after Liverpool’s 0-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest, we saw Michael Oliver and Alexander-Arnold engage in a heated conversation. The Liverpool star was seen animating his gestures while trying to prove a point to the match referee after the game. The Anfield Ground saw their Vice Captain angry and frustrated.
The English International footballer had to adjust a lot after he came back from his International duty. Yesterday, for the first time ever, Trent played for 90 minutes. However, Alexander-Arnold ended his match after exchanging views with Michael Oliver. It was clear that emotions got the best of him
The 25-year-old LFC Midfielder was utterly frustrated while playing against Nottingham. While the Reds got the additional time of 4 minutes to score an equaliser, Trent and his move earned him a yellow card. This probably came from the goal he missed from a near-perfect corner shot.
Fans were sure that Alexander-Arnold was probably exchanging views with Michael Oliver over this decision. Cameras could easily capture the animated moves of Trent while he was explaining his point.
