Every player in Liverpool‘s team, with the exception of Luis Diaz, was dreadfully below average as they were humiliated 4-1 by Napoli. Let’s have a look at the player ratings.

Goal Keepers and Defenders
Alisson Becker (GK) – 5.5/10
Even on a gloomy night, Alisson kept his reputation of being largely blameless this season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB) – 2/10
Sorry Trent, but the evidence does not support your defense.
His efforts to be seen at least four times, including for two goals, were ineffective. And this behavior was undesirable.
He appears to be indifferent, broken, or both. It’s annoying to watch.
The Brazilian did nothing wrong other than a moment of hesitation in the first minute. And he even turned away Victor Osimhen’s penalty in the first half.
Probably wondering what’s happening in front of him.
Joe Gomez (CB) – 2.5/10

Joel Matip was once more favored. But Gomez played the worst game of his Liverpool career.
He avoided being punished for a major blunder when Virgil van Dijk cleared the ball off the line. But he was outmuscled and lethargic and again made more appalling errors in defending the second and third goals.
Virgil van Dijk (CB) – 3/10
This season, Van Dijk has fallen far short of his best. Tragically, there is no indication that will change.
True, he made one enormous block on the line. But he embarrassingly gave up a penalty and lost focus on the third goal.
What has become of one of the best center-backs ever?
Andy Robertson (LB) – 4.5/10
In Kostas Tsimikas’ place, Robertson made a comeback. But this was just another example of the season’s sluggish performances.
Without a doubt, there were worse people. But the customary struggle and progress were absent.
Over the years, Robertson has acted as one of Liverpool’s primary creative outlets, but the assists have alarmingly decreased.
Midfielders
Fabinho (CM) – 5/10
Fabinho would undoubtedly play the No. 6 position against Napoli. But he knew he was losing the match.
Defensively, the game felt like it was fought by a one-man midfield for too long. And while he wasn’t blameless, he tried his best to bite into tackles and bring the effort.
He was eventually running through a treacle. Feel bad for him as he plays alone in midfield.
Elliot (CM) – 5.5/10
Although Elliott has been among Liverpool’s top performers this season, his poor defensive abilities have been severely exposed.
The 19-year-old showed flashes of class on the ball and proved to be one of the few players with a forward-thinking approach. But there are questions about how he will tactically affect Liverpool’s midfield.
James Milner (CM) – 2.5/10
Milner began in midfield, which may not have been everyone’s cup of tea following his disastrous cameo at right-back for Everton.
It was even more puzzling as to why Klopp started him when, despite conceding a penalty, receiving a booking, and meriting another, he somehow didn’t get replaced at halftime.
Forwards
Mohamed Salah (RW) – 3/10
Salah is still utterly far from his pre-AFCON brilliance eight months later. He is appearing more and more upset.
The Egyptian is undoubtedly not receiving excellent service because he is playing in the background of games. But he is also acting passively whenever he has the opportunity to add some excitement.
Substituted.
Luis Diaz (LW) – 8/10
the sole standout member of lousy team performance. a beautiful finish to score the consolation goal, his fourth of the season.
The lone player that made an effort displayed a desire, or both. We need more people like him in the future.
Roberto Firmino (CF) – 3/10
Firmino has recently shown some improved play. But he has since been back to the clumsy, lanky player we have seen him be since about a year ago.
His touch was bad right away, contributing to the first goal. And every pass felt underhit or behind a teammate.
He’s just not the same force he once was.
Substitutes
Joe Matip (CB) – 6/10
was a noticeable improvement over Gomez, somewhat shoring up the back. However, he was caught off guard for the fourth goal within a minute.
Thiago (CM) – 7/10
kept things straightforward but brought so much more emotive intensity and control than Milner right away. Although it was against a team that had given up playing, it was terrific.
Darwin Nunez (CF) – 5/10
really had trouble getting into the game. Beat a man before turning right towards the ground defense.
Diogo Jota (CF) – 5/10
similar to Nunez’s Outmuscled and terrible hold-up play. Accomplished nothing productive.
Arthur (CM) – N/A
What a terrible game to make your first appearance in! poor boy.
This might be the worse player ratings for the Reds since arrival of Jurgen Klopp.
