Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has recently shared his plan to build a “home football museum” after his retirement.
The English fullback has been living the ideal fantasy of any football fan, from being a fan of a club to becoming one of the main men of that same club.
Alexander-Arnold is a Scouser by birth and has been supporting the Anfield giants since his childhood, idolizing Merseyside legend Steven Gerrard.
Coming through the youth ranks of the club, Trent is now the vice-captain of the side. His journey has been quite inspiring for the young kids who dream of breaking out, showcasing that resilience and perseverance can lead to many great things.
That match holds much significance to many current LFC players but especially to him as this match shaped his career.
The 26-year-old’s career highlight came when the Reds made that iconic 4-0 UCL comeback against Barcelona at Anfield. His “corner taken quickly” became one of the most recognizable moments in the history of football.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will make a home football museum
The defender came up against Lionel Messi, “the best that’s ever played” as described by him, in the two legs of semi-finals of 2018-19 UCL campaign.
Trent had the opportunity to swap shirts with the World Cup winner and revealed his plan regarding that while speaking in an interview for Futuremakers by Standard Chartered alongside Conor Bradley and Ryan Gravenberch.
The Englishman said,
“For sure [I planned to ask for] the Messi one. Because I thought I don’t know if I’ll ever play against him again and I think for me, the best player that’s ever played, so the opportunity couldn’t pass me by.”
When asked about if Messi’s shirt was hanging on his wall, Alexander-Arnold, explaining his future plans, said,
“Nah, I’ve got it framed to be fair
I’ve got it framed with my shirt from the game. Yeah, it’s a special game to remember but no, it’s not hanging up anywhere.
A lot of the shirts that I’ve got are all kind of kept away. I’ll wait ’til I hang my boots up then make a proper home football museum!”
The PL and UCL winner also spoke about Neymar’s shirt,
“[When I swapped with] Neymar [it] was kind of just in the moment. I didn’t even asked him, I asked Alisson to ask him for me.”
Bradley, when asked about his most precious collected shirt, replied,
“One that obviously stands out for me was James Trafford [who I know] from when we were both at Bolton.
So we played Burnley last season around Christmas time and I swapped with him there so it’s quite nice to have his top at the house, so that’s probably the main one for me.””
And answering the same question, Gravenberch said,
“When I played at Ajax I swapped with Gini Wijnaldum, that’s the most [memorable].”
