Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has revealed that the chance for Trent Alexander-Arnold to join Real Madrid is ‘now or never’.
The contract turmoil of the Reds vice-captain has been a major concern for the club going deep into the 2024-25 season.
The Scouser’s Merseyside contract ends at the end of the season and he will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement to join Real Madrid, or any other overseas clubs of his choosing, from January 1.
With just a few days more than a month time to the new year looming over, the contract dilemma might cause some serious trouble for the Anfield giants.
Although many pundits and experts believe that LFC will not let go of the promising English fullback, the suspense has been added to the air of uncertainty.

No Real Madrid for Trent
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has been adamant that Liverpool will secure Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Alexander-Arnold.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Monday morning, Solhekol said,
“I think it’s down to money and that one or two of those players may have very tempting offers from other clubs.
We have to get real, I would think it’s almost impossible that Liverpool are going to lose all three of those players. I think almost certainly at least two of them will sign new contracts.
One of them may leave, but they’re not all going at the same time. There’s no way that Liverpool would let that happen.”
Highlighting the Trent situation, the reporter stated,
“The only way you do that [leave Liverpool] is if Real Madrid want you. If they want you and they’re getting you on a free transfer, they can give you an incredible signing-on fee, incredible wages.
Playing for Real Madrid, who are the best club in the world, your profile goes to a different level. And Real Madrid would say to you, ‘It’s now or never – if you don’t come now, we’re going to sign someone else’.
So it’s only the lure of Real Madrid that would tempt anyone to leave Liverpool at the moment.”
The Reds will be offering the Liverpool right-back a rumoured contract of £400,000 a week which will make him the topmost earner in the PL.
Hopefully, the Anfield side will secure his services for some more years and he delivers more than he has provided so far.
