Star fullback Trent Alexander-Arnold has said that no detail of the contract extension at Liverpool will be made public.
The constant contract turmoil of the crucial trio of the Reds – skipper Virgil van Dijk, talisman Mohamed Salah and vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold has been a source of anxiety for the Kopites.
Although Van Dijk and Salah have made their willingness to stay at Anfield clear and public and have positively progressed regarding their extensions, ambiguity still remains regarding the future of Merseyside’s prodigal son.
The persistent interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid and the much talked about friendship with Los Blancos star Jude Bellingham only adds fuel to the uncertainty.
Although a few positive chatter can be heard once in a while, nothing concrete has surfaced yet.

Alexander-Arnold on Liverpool contract extension
Recently the English defender spoke to Sky Sports about his contract conundrum at LFC. Trent said,
“I have been at the club 20 years now, I have signed four or five contract extensions and none of those have been played out in public – and this one won’t be either.”
Real Madrid surely pose a great threat to the Merseysiders in terms of stealing the star fullback’s services ahead of the 2025-26 season. His exceptional ability would definitely elevate the Madrid side’s performances.
However, even if the Anfield giants are not able to extend the contract of Trent, they must have a few options in mind.
Jeremie Frimpong has been on Liverpool’s shortlist since last summer. They can also look into the prospect of signing Martim Fernandes from Porto.
Or else, they can simply rely on another young Merseyside prodigy Conor Bradley who has been deputised in place of Alexander-Arnold in his absence and has impressed multiple times.
