Serie A side Fiorentina seeking £68.7m for Liverpool transfer target

Dusan Vlahovic, a transfer target of Liverpool was watched by The Reds scouts in the weekend game against Juventus. While he has been the center of attention around Europe after his impressive show last season.

The Serbian is in ruthless form this season. And reportedly Liverpool are willing to invest a remarkable sum in the La Viola striker.

According to Liverpoolecho reports, ACF Fiorentina have revealed the asking price for their 21-year-old striker Dusan Vlahovic.

According to Goal Italia, as relayed by Get Football News Italy, La Viola have stated that they are prepared to sell Vlahovic in January. As Juventus are keen but Fiorentina wants to sell him to an English club. As Premier League clubs are more superior financially.

How does Liverpool transfer target fits in Klopp’s squad ?

Vlahovic has no signs of slowing down and Fiorentina would prefer to cash in Dusan ASAP. Earlier this year, he has rejected the contract extension and his current contract expires in the summer of 2023.

Fiorentina would like to take advantage of Serbian’s current in-form and earn a hefty amount of cash.

As per Fotmob stats, Dusan has registered 10 goals in 13 games in all competitions already. And in Serie A fixtures his average match rating stands at 7.27 per match so far.

Adding a quality Centre Forward like Dusan will take Liverpool’s attack to a whole new level. The 21-year-old would bring different attributes into the Merseyside club.

As a striker, he is completely different from Roberto Firmino but he possesses more goal-scoring threats than the Brazilian.

And looking into Fbref reports, defensively he has decent numbers in interceptions, blocks, clearances, and aerials won.

Although his pressing game is on the lower side which would definitely improve under Klopp’s coaching.

Liverpool can surely use him as a traditional number 9 moving forward. Klopp could see him as a Lewandowski type of player.

He is tall, agile enough to make runs at defenders and play on counter-attacks.

Liverpool will surely benefit themselves by adding a quality attacker into the squad but his high transfer fee could be a barricade for the move.

Meanwhile, not to forget Liverpool will also need to offer Mohamed Salah a sizeable wage bill to secure his long-term service. Thus, The Reds might hesitate to make a move for the £68.7m forward
