Liverpool are interested in signing a Brazilian player from FC Porto who can be very useful in the outfield and can also link up with Luis Diaz.

The fixtures are out for the upcoming Premier League season and Liverpool will be playing their first match of the season against Fulham who got promoted to the Premier League this year after winning the championship last season.

Moreover, the first match will be played on the 6th of August at Craven Cottage which is home to Fulham. Before the Premier League starts, Liverpool will have many pre-season-friendly games in the month of July in South East Asia and in Germany

Since the friendlies and the season will be starting in some time, the Reds will be looking forward to concluding all the signings as soon as possible so that the new players get time to gel up with the team and play comfortably without any unnecessary pressure.

Liverpool interested in signing the Brazilian-born Otavio

According to The Daily Mirror, the Merseyside club fancy signing the 27-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder/winger Otavio who currently plays for FC Porto. Despite born in Brazil, the Porto forward plays for the Portuguese national team as he was bought and possesses the nationality of Portugal.

Moreover, there have been reports that FC Porto have rejected Leeds United after the Peacocks offered a deal of 26 million pounds to the Primeira Liga champions. Now, Liverpool will put around 34 million pounds on the table for the 27-year-old.

Making 45 appearances for including the domestic and national duties, Otavio scored 6 goals and created 12 assists. (Stats via whoscored). The Portuguese international posses a creative vision in his passing and can be used against teams who tend to sit back and defend.

According to sources, Otavio has a release clause of 51 million pounds in his contract, but FC Porto will be agreeing to release the midfielder for 38 million pounds this summer.

Now, with Sadio Mane gone, Jurgen Klopp wants to make sure that they have many options in that position. Also, Otavio has played before with Diaz and their link-up can be advantageous for the Reds.
