Liverpool fans are at the end of some news provided by Journalist Florian Plettenburg.

Florian Plettenburg claims that Christopher Nkunku missed the Chelsea medical in order to finalize a contract with Liverpool. And Liverpool are highly keen on the RB Leipzig forward.

Even though Chelsea appears to have made significant progress, Fussball Transfers reported yesterday that Liverpool and Real Madrid are still keen on signing the France international.

Nkunku allegedly had medical tests with the Blues before a 2023 transfer to Stamford Bridge. This was according to a report from Bild, although Plettenburg, a Sky Sports Germany writer, has now denied that assertion.

Plettenburg said in a tweet that the visit was not medical in order to close a deal with Chelsea. It ought to have been done for insurance-related reasons. Chelsea does want him in 2023, but no decision has been made, and no pre-contract has been made as of yet. However, release clause!

Journalist provides Liverpool with some good news regarding Nkunku

As you can see, the Sky Sports Germany writer, in an interesting turn of events, does reveal that Nkunku has a release clause.

Fussball Transfers estimates the clause’s value at €60 million (£53 million).

The 2022–23 season has begun off well for Nkunku, who has six goals in 11 games across all competitions. This has sparked interest in him.

Liverpool, in our opinion, would be unwise not to exercise Nkunku’s £53 million release clause.

Incredibly, the Frenchman was able to contribute to 55 goals in just 52 games last season, including 35 goals and 20 assists.

Few footballers on the planet played in the final third with such intensity. And at only 24 years old, he would be a wise long-term investment for the Reds.

Last season, Nkunku’s statistics were comparable to those of Haaland. And Manchester City took advantage by activating the £51 million release clause for the Norwegian international.

Now is the time for Liverpool to act similarly ruthlessly; they cannot pass up this chance in 2023.
