Liverpool are finalising the deal for Trent Kone-Doherty current Derry City player, who is aged 15-years at the moment. Liverpool have beaten Manchester City and Man United, who were also looking to sign this teenager.

Reportedly, Liverpool have completed the talks with the player and his current club and are now in the final stages of completing the deal.

Young prodigy- Trent Kone-Doherty

Liverpool are looking to invest in this 15-year-old Irish teenager who plays as an Attacker. The player has represented Ireland at the Under-16 and Under-17 level and the Derry City Under-19 team.

The player has already scored 2 goals in the five games so far he has played for the Under-16 Ireland team

The attacking player has also recently climbed up the charts and was the substitute in the First Team for Derry City.

Another Kid at Liverpool

Given the ‘prolific playing style’ of Trent, it would be ‘really interesting to see him perform in various categories for Liverpool.

Liverpool are truly praiseworthy, for ‘upgrading their attack’ not only for the present but also looking at the future.

They have also added another teenage winger Ben Doak from Celtic, ahead of the summer Transfer Window.

Ben Doak represents the Scotland Under-17 team and has recently scored a hat-trick as well for them. He looks like a complete player who can manage to score comfortably with both his legs.

Competition for Trent from other clubs

Trent Kone-Doherty had attracted a few premier clubs including a Scottish club too.

Man City and Man United were also in the race for procuring the 15-year-old player, but Liverpool managed to ‘clinch the deal’.

Reportedly Celtic also had an eye on Trent but could not make the next step.

He is definitely seen as a promising player, for whom even coaches of Man United and Man City, including Pep Guardiola were desperate.

At Liverpool, Trent stands a chance of breaking into the first team than at Man Utd or Man City.
