Liverpool owners are looking at a potentially huge venture, which may transform Liverpool’s dynamic. through a new FSG transfer strategy.

After missing out on Cruzeiro to ‘Fenomeno’, FSG turned to Botafogo, who were ultimately taken on by another US investor in John Textor (John Textor also owns Crystal Palace).

However, FSG have again piqued their interest in acquiring a Brazilian club. Reports in Brazilian media suggest that John Henry & Co. are stealing glances at Athletico Paranaense and Internacional.

If these reports are to be believed, then FSG might be looking at another shrewd business venture. FSG is a sports conglomerate, which thrives on converting underperforming and undervalued prospects into profitable ventures. Since Brazilian clubs have an avid fan base and Brazil is brimming with talent.

Therefore, it makes sense to invest in Brazilian football. Other clubs already have networks in South America. Manchester City own Montevideo City Torque (Uruguay) & Club Bolívar (Bolivia) and Red Bull own Bragantino (Brazil). Additionally, City have already reaped the benefits by unearthing Julian Alvarez, who is touted to become the next Aguero.

FSG’s partners RedBird Capital Ventures own Ligue 2 side, Toulouse. Liverpool reaped the benefits by having a base. Hence, Liverpool were able to unearth Melkamu Frauendorf, Stefan Bajcetic, and Mateusz Musialowski. Brexit regulations will make signing young talent difficult. Thus, moving to another continent is a creative and exciting way to do this.

Liverpool’s transfer room has done wonders for Klopp. Transfers of Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, etc prove the point beyond the shadow of a doubt. The Reds’ transfer room only had access to talent playing in European Leagues. Imagine the possibilities of having access to a whole new continent.

Liverpool fans should watch with interest as the chances of them picking up the next big thing in one of football’s biggest talent hotbeds could be about to massively increase.
