The Reds have successfully bounced back in the race for winning this season of the Premier League under Arne Slot’s leadership. After playing for a brief time against Bournemouth, newcomer Federico Chiesa is now training ‘harder’ for the West Ham match.
The former Juventus member arrived in Anfield on 29th August, and the LFC Boss is taking time to integrate him into the lineup. Considering his valiant efforts in yesterday’s match, many fans think he appears to be ready to take on The Hammers.
Federico Chiesa reveals he is gearing up for West Ham
The Merseyside Club is currently on top of the 2024-25 Premier League standings table with only 1 loss against Nottingham. Moreover, after a 3-0 win against Bournemouth yesterday, Slot and his squad are aiming big for their upcoming match in the Carabao Cup.
This week, Liverpool will be facing their League Cup opponent West Ham, and Federico Chiesa is preparing for this. The Italian attacking forward had only 7 minutes in Milan. However, Chiesa played for a solid 20 minutes against Bournemouth. Mo Salah has already started 8 times in the Premier League.
We can see Chiesa taking up that role on 26th September. In the post-match interview yesterday, the reporter asked Federico Chiesa about his plans against West Ham. The Italian was then asked if he was “feeling sharper” and “ready to play more minutes now, hopefully, if needed in midweek against West Ham?”
The Bournemouth match was a lively match for Chiesa. Besides talking about his experience after hearing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from the bench, the 26-year-old revealed his regime. According to Federico Chiesa, he is training really hard for stepping up against West Ham in the League Cup.
“Yes, I am. I’m training for that. I’m training harder, faster. I am training to be ready, to play, but it just depends on the coach, when he wants me to play and put me in.”
