Three Premier League clubs interested in signing 23-year-old Serie A defender

Perr Schuurs of Torino has apparently been highlighted as a potential summer transfer target by three Premier League clubs. He has a bright future and appears to be a strong match for the Premier League. Which team, though, has the best odds of signing him?
Schuurs joined Ajax as a youngster in 2018, and in all competitions, he made 49 starts and 31 substitute appearances for the Dutch powerhouse.
Nevertheless, the former Netherlands Under-21 international was permitted to join Torino last year after failing to establish himself as a regular in the first team.
With a total of 16 Serie A appearances since then, Schuurs has contributed to retaining Torino as an unexpected candidate for European qualifying. Schuurs has played in a backline that has the division’s fifth-best defensive record, despite Torino’s general offensive struggles this season.
Liverpool are among the three clubs who are interested in Perr Schuurs
Ivan Juric, the manager of Torino, will be sure that he can keep Schuurs on the team for the foreseeable future because the 23-year-old has a contract that runs until 2026. Tuttosport reports that three Premier League teams are reportedly mulling offers for the player.
In front of the upcoming transfer window in 2023–2024, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool are rumored to be among the teams who are interested in signing Schuurs. According to the story, they have already spoken with their Torino counterparts, although it is not clear how they have reacted to finding out about Schuurs’ purported asking price.
Torino’s probable demand for the defender
While Torino only paid around €9 million for his services last year, should teams increase their interest later in 2023, Torino might seek as much as €50 million (£44.43 million). Having worked with Schuurs while at Ajax, United manager Erik ten Hag is familiar with him, and his adaptability may persuade Spurs and Liverpool to move through with an approach.
While Schuurs plays center defense most of the time, he can fill in the central midfield, especially if the position requires a defensive mindset. Despite this, Schuurs only ever played in that position for Fortuna Sittard throughout his brief professional career. He never played in that position for Ajax. It will be interesting to see if the Reds could opt for his services or if everything will be spent on Jude Bellingham.
