Ben Doak could transgress Liverpool‘s unwritten law. Due to his unregistered status, Doak is now ineligible for Liverpool to participate in the Champions League. As a result, his senior minutes may be limited to the remaining FA Cup matches as competition for league games has increased with Gakpo’s arrival from PSV.

With the glimpses he’s shown, Ben Doak has Liverpool supporters thrilled, but given that playing time is scarce, might The Reds be considering loaning him out?

Ben Doak and Liverpool Shenanigans

Even if the majority of us like jumping right in headfirst from the top board into the escalating frenzy and enthusiasm that frequently surrounds certain up-and-coming footballers in Liverpool’s junior system, some may be excused for adopting a more cautious stance.

The club’s Kirkby academy has produced Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, but there have also been Jordan Rossiter, Jack Robinson, and Pedro Chirivella who have failed to make an impact. However, another prodigy with more than promising skill has emerged this season, and Jürgen Klopp may defy what has come to be an unwritten norm at Anfield.

Doak to get his first professional contract?

The Scotsman became the sixth-youngest player to ever play for The Reds, and his unwavering willingness to drive through from the right wing caused left-back Louie Sibley of the Rams significant problems.

Liverpool visited Villa Park on Boxing Day with a team that had been expanded by players who were returning from the World Cup. Doak became the youngest Scottish national to play in the Premier League with two minutes remaining in regulation time, despite the presence of his senior peers. The Reds started their FA Cup defense with a lackluster effort at home against Wolves during a stretch of bad play, which led to a dull draw and an ensuing replay.

Suitor interest already seems to be building, with reports that Doak’s availability is being tested by Nottingham Forest. Liverpool has positive relationships with numerous teams lower on the league ladder, so if a loan were to be set up, a place to go would almost probably be found.

Doak may only be a few months into his first professional contract, but in the years to come, he will undoubtedly be presented with many possibilities. We are looking at a really remarkable athlete if he keeps the talent that has everyone so thrilled up to this point.
