The Liverpool team is ecstatic as a “talented player” is close to making an injury return

An injury return is much anticipated in the Liverpool team before the Premier League returns.
A highly skilled player to make an injury return for Liverpool
Joe Gomez is eager to watch Calvin Ramsay. He joined Liverpool in the summer to perform at a high level. For a cost of £6.5 million, the right-back moved from Aberdeen to the Reds in June.
Ramsay hasn’t played yet for Jurgen Klopp’s team, though. Since the beginning of preseason, the 19-year-old has been sidelined due to a back problem that Liverpool found.
However, Ramsay has recently been sighted working out with his teammates as he prepares for his first Reds opportunity.
Joe Gomez on Calvin Ramsay
In an interview with Liverpool’s online magazine Walk On, Gomez says it was regrettable that the team’s opportunity to get to know Ramsay better during the summer was lost.
But now that Ramsay is getting closer to a return, the center-back relishes watching him play.
Gomez:
“Calvin seems like a really down-to-earth lad.
Obviously, we weren’t able to mix with him in training in pre-season, which was unfortunate, but hopefully he’s nearly there in overcoming that little issue and I think we’re all excited to see him play.
He’s obviously a talented player, which is why he’s at this club, and from what he’s like around the place, he seems a nice, humble lad.
We’re looking forward to seeing him getting involved on the pitch.”
Calvin Ramsay on his signing with Liverpool
The 18-year-old visited Liverpool to complete personal arrangements and have a physical. The defender has committed to a five-year contract with Liverpool and will join Jurgen Klopp’s team for preseason. There are no intentions for Liverpool to loan Ramsay out.
On his signing, Ramsay:
“It was a dream come true to play for Aberdeen, and now to be at one of the biggest, if not the biggest club in the world, it’s a massive achievement and I’m looking forward to trying to show the fans what I’ve got.”
Calvin Ramsay will surely give depth to the Reds squad at the right flank and will make Trent fight for his place in the starting lineup. Until now Klopp didn’t had a proper substitute available for Liverpool’s no. 66 but now Trent could get some rest depending on the frequency of fixtures in the month of October.
Just like Tsimikas acts as a substitute for Robertson, now, Ramsay can be used as an alternative for TAA as and when required. It will be interesting to see how the newcomer teenager will fit in Klopp’s playing style.
